The 180th Muskingum County Fair opens Sunday, August 16, and runs through Saturday, August 22.
Sunday, August 16 – Veterans Day (veterans admitted free all day)
The grand opening of the 180th Blue Ribbon Fair will be held at the grandstands at 4:15 p.m. with 4-H Awards and a Junior Fair Parade following. The National Tractor Pullers Association Truck and Tractor Pull will start at 7:00 p.m.
Monday, August 17 – Drug Awareness Day (Sponsored by Sheriff Matt Lutz. Fight the hunger, Stock the Trailer Canned Food Drive hosted by Jr. Fair Board – Four cans of vegetables may be used for FREE admission from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
Grandstand entertainment for the evening will be Bikes & Buggies Barrel Racing at 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 18 – SENIOR DAY (Sponsored by AJD Senior Insurance Services – Those 60+ years old admitted free until 5 p.m.)
The Sarge & Sons Demolition Derby sponsored by Muskingum Iron & Metal will take place at 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 19 – Fraternal Order of Eagles Food Bank Day (Free admission with cash donations from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
At 7:00 p.m., the Rough Truck Contest will begin.
Thursday, August 20 – Taste of the fair (Presented by Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union – Admission $5, 11 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
The Dialed Action Stunt Show begins at 8:00 p..m.
Friday, August 21 – Pepsi Day (One empty Pepsi 20 oz. PLASTIC BOTTLE for free admission to the grounds (7 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
A Bar Rodeo Bull Riding & Girls Barrel Racing will take place at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 22 – Combine and Truck Demolition Derby begins at 7:00 p.m.
General admission for the fair will be $10, with children 5 and under being able to get in for free (rides not included). There is no extra fee for parking.
