Zanesville’s girls tennis team won its first match of the season against Logan on Saturday, August 8th by an overall score of 4 – 1. The winners for Zanesville HS at No. 1 singles Bella Jarrett defeated Jasmine Elick 6-0,6-1. At No. 2 singles, Jo Jo Jarrett beat Adrianna Williams 6-0,6-0. The first doubles team of Tru Campbell and Hope Blackfore won 6-2, 6-2 against Lydia Shimmel and Nevaeh Rittenhouse. The second doubles team of Aliyah Cornell and Audrionna Hayes beat Sydney Thomas and Caitlyn Coffill 6-3, 6-3. Logan had one win at No. 3 singles, where Serenity Simpson lost a tough 7-6, 6-4 match to Emily Lehman.
