Vs. Northridge (8/20)
Zanesville hosted Northridge on Thursday at John D. Sulsberger Stadium. The Vikings were ready for battle as they commanded the field, taking a 2 – 1 advantage by the halftime break.
The Blue Devils matched the visitors in the second half of the game, going two for two on goals, but still fell to Northridge 4 – 3 in the end.
The Blue Devils move on to face the John Glenn Lil’ Muskies at Sulsberger Stadium on Saturday, August 22nd, at 10 AM.
Vs. Bishop Rosecrans (8/14)
Friday’s home game for Zanesville boys soccer was all energy from start to finish for the Blue Devils as they blasted out to a 6 – 0 lead in the first half of the game.
After a short break, Zanesville continued their mission, only dropping one goal to the Bishops as they powered through a 9 – 1 victory.
For Zanesville, senior Reece Neal led the offense with 4 goals and 2 assists. Senior Angel Ruiz had 3 goals and 2 assists. Senior Mario Nguyen had a goal for the Blue Devils. Freshman Will Coffey had 1 goal and 2 assists. Junior Aden Bowman had 1 assist.
Vs. Philo (8/8)
At Soccerfest, hosted by the Zanesville High School Soccer Boosters, Saturday night, the final game against the Electrics was dominated by the Blue Devils, who made quick work of the visitors. The annual community event featured a full day of matches between Zanesville and Philo, which culminated in a 4 – 2 win for the Blue Devils’ boys’ varsity team.
