The Celebrate New Concord (CNC) summer outdoor concert series presents their final concert of the 2026 season, Tony Hagood Quartet, on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. in Village Park, 2 West Main Street.
This 7 p.m. concert, Hot Club Jazz Manouche with Tony Hagood’s Quartet du Hot Club Nouveau, brings together four musicians whose careers bridge international stages, deep jazz traditions, and the Ohio music community.
Violinist Arkadiy Gips, channeling the spirit of the great Stéphane Grappelli, studied at the Conservatory in Kyiv and later toured internationally with Madonna, bringing a distinctive voice shaped by classical training and wide-ranging performance experience.
Tony Hagood, a fixture in the Central Ohio jazz scene as a performer, educator, business owner, and concert curator, anchors the group with melodic and harmonic depth and an unmistakable groove.
Guitarist Tom fills the Django Reinhardt role with rhythmic drive and expressive flair, drawing from swing, jazz manouche, and modern styles.
Bassist George DeLancey rounds out the quartet, playing with such great musicians as Wynton Marsalis, Bria Skonberg, Cécile McLorin Salvant, and Peter Bernstein, with versatility, feel, and deep musical instinct.
Inspired by Parisian Hot Club traditions and modern reinterpretations, the program blends familiar melodies with fresh arrangements created specifically for Celebrate New Concord Concert Series!
