Vs. Crooksville (9/17)
On the road in Crooksville on Thursday, the Lil’ Muskies started out fast with a 25 – 13 win over the Ceramics. Crooksville battled in round two but fell to the visitors 25 – 18. To sweep their hosts, John Glenn powered forward to win round three, 25- 12.
The Muskies move on to play Meadowbrook at home on Tuesday, with the game set to start at 7:30 PM.
Vs. New Lexington (9/15)
In a four-round, hard-fought match against New Lexington on Tuesday, John Glenn got edged out by a score of 26 – 24. They came back in round two to just squeeze by the Panthers 25 – 21. New Lexington answered back with a big 25 – 14 win in round three. The Muskies wouldn’t let go easily, and they fought for the last round, but New Lex took it 25 – 21 to win 3 – 1 overall.
Vs. River View (9/10)
In Warsaw on Thursday, the Lady Black Bears stepped up to blast out round one with a big 25 – 10 win, leaving the Lil’ Muskies scrambling. John Glenn had not recovered from the first round as they fell in round two, 25- 13. The last round was the closest as John Glenn fought to stay in the match, but ultimately fell 25 – 22.
Vs. Maysville (9/8)
The Maysville Panthers arrived in New Concord on Tuesday to play the Lil’ Muskies in the Fish Tank. John Glenn dominated round one with a 25 – 13 win. Maysville pushed round two into overdrive, but the Muskies stayed out in front to win 27 – 25. Despite trying hard in round three, the Muskies took the win 25 – 16 to sweep the set.
Vs. Sheridan (9/3)
The Lady Generals were not about to let John Glenn come into their territory and win the match, as they pounded out a 25 – 13 win in round one. Round two was a close copy of the first, with Sheridan locking down a 25 – 18 win. John Glenn put up 26 points in the final round, but the Lady Generals locked down the sweep with a 28 – 26 win.
