On Wednesday, August 5th at Hickory Flats Golf Course, the Lady Generals competed in the Lady Black Bear Invite and took fourth place with a score of 381 in a seven-team competition.
Brynn Harstine was not only the top scorer for the Lady Generals, but she was the top scorer for the day, hitting 30 and 35 to have a total of 65, which was five strokes ahead of her closest competition from Garaway. Zoe Martin scored 54 and 42 to take a 96 overall. Kendall Myers had a 109, scoring 53 and 56 on the course. Kelly Corbett finished the day at 111, hitting 55 and 56.
Monday’s Pirate Invitational saw the Lady Generals finish sixth out of fourteen teams with a score of 409.
Brynn Harstine grabbed a runner-up medal for her score of 75, hitting 37 and 38 on the day. Zoe Martin hit 42 and 45 for an 87-stroke finish. Kendall Myers nabbed a personal best, scoring 63 and 59 to get a 122 overall. Kelly Corbett had a 125, hitting 64 and 61 on the course.
During the IVC Preseason tournament on Thursday and Friday, the Generals took the title, defeating West Muskingum on Thursday 216 – 167, and then moving on to score 345 on Friday to beat out seven other teams.
Thursday, Brynn Harstine scored 34 for the day, tying with Taylor Harstine; Zoe Martin hit 41, Kendall Myers scored 58, Audrey Tubbs hit 64, Kelly Corbett hit 71, and Finn Cheney scored 79.
Friday, Taylor Harstine took the lead, scoring 64, while Brynn followed with 68, Zoe Martin hit 91, Kelly Corbett hit 122, tying Audrey Tubbs, and Kendall Myers scored 128.
