The Muskingum County Community Foundation (MCCF) invites community members to participate in The Big Give, a countywide giving campaign taking place September 14-28, 2026. The campaign brings together 13 local nonprofit organizations that are working every day to improve the quality of life in Muskingum County.
During the two-week campaign, donors can support the nonprofit organizations they care about most while helping those organizations build long-term financial strength through their endowment funds at MCCF. Gifts made during The Big Give will also help participating organizations receive a share of up to $50,000 in matching funds provided
by MCCF.
“Every day, local nonprofits help make Muskingum County a better place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Brian Wagner, CEO of the Muskingum County Community Foundation. “The Big Give is an opportunity for our community to come together and support organizations that are making a difference right here at home. Every gift matters, and together we can help strengthen these organizations for today and for the future.”
The 2026 participating organizations represent a wide range of causes, including youth development, education, literacy, housing, arts and culture, community services, and animal welfare. The participating organizations are:

• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Appalachian Ohio
• ForeverDads
• Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio
• John Glenn Flag Football & Cheer
• Max’s Fund
• Muskingum County Library System
• Muskingum County Literacy Council
• Museum Association of East Muskingum
• Ohio District Council of Pentecostal Churches
• The Carr Center
• The Center (Muskingum County Center for Seniors)
• Transitions in Zanesville
The campaign theme, “Build Forever. Support Today.”, reflects the shared goal of helping local nonprofits meet community needs today while creating resources that will benefit Muskingum County for years to come.
“When we invest in strong nonprofit organizations, we invest in a stronger community,” Wagner said. “The Big Give gives everyone a chance to be part of that impact.”
