The Lil’ Muskies hit the road to Hickory Flats on Wednesday, August 5th, to play in the Lady Bear Invitational. John Glenn took top marks out of the seven teams competing with a score of 359.
Leading the team was Kylie Van Fossen, who scored 39 on the first nine and 38 on the second for a total of 77 points to take third place overall for the invite. Teammate Lily Huffman hit 45 on the first nine and 43 on the second to take a sixth-place score of 88. Teagen Conn scored 44 in the first round and 50 in the second for an overall 94 to take eighth place in the invite. Karleigh Webster hit 48 and 52 to score an even 100 in the invite. Kendall Mitchell rounded out the scoring for the Lil’ Muskies with 52 and 51 for 103 points overall.
On Saturday at the Lady Muskie Invite held at the Zanesville Jaycees Golf Course, the Lil’ Muskies took second place overall with a score of 395, falling to Fort Frye, whose team scored 363. Van Fossen hit 46 and 51 to score 97 overall; Hoffman hit 41 and 46 for an overall of 87; Conn hit 48 and 51 for a total of 99; Webster hit 56 and 56 to total 112; Mitchell hit 47 and 55 to total 102; and Cassie Mathers hit 61 and 71 to total 132 for the Lil’ Muskies.
The Lady Muskies will head to Zoar Golf Club on Tuesday, August 11th to face Dover; tee time is set for 8 AM.
