The Tri-Valley girls golf team finished in second place with a score of 372 at Hickory Flats Golf Course on Wednesday, August 5th, in the Black Bear Invite, while competing against six other teams, falling only to John Glenn. It was a beautiful day on the course as the girls made their way across. Regan Shirer led the way for the Scotties, scoring 40 on the first nine, followed by 38 on the back nine, for a total of 78, which ranked her in fourth place overall. Lexie Geyer hit 44 in the first round and finished out with a score of 45 for a seventh-place total of 89 points. Gabby Wright hit 50 and 49 to score 99 overall. Cady Strouse scored 106 overall with 52 points in the first round, and 54 in th second. McKynlie Sheck scored 47 and 67 for 114 overall.
Regan Shirer tied for second place on Saturday, August 3rd, at the Lady Muskie Invite held at the Zanesville Jaycees Golf Course, scoring 85 points with 41 and 44. Lexie Geyer scored 50 and 56 for a 106 total. Gabby Wright followed up with 52 and 55 to finish at 107. McKynlie Sheck totaled 110, scoring 49 and 61. Cady Strouse hit a 55 and 61 to finish out the day at 116.
The Lady Dawgs head off to Marietta on Monday with a 1 PM tee time.
