DECISIONS

Dear Friend,
Each of us, no matter who we may be, are faced with the necessity to make an
endless number of decisions in life. Often these decisions are important life
affecting calls.
One of the chief principles of a strong Christian life is submission to God and
His word in every area. In Romans 12:1 Paul writes “I beseech you therefore
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
In this verse we see the making of successful life decisions presupposes a life of
consecration. We are to present our bodies (our lives) a living sacrifice. To present
means “to place near the hand of another”, with the intent of allowing that person
to accept and control the thing presented.
When we present ourselves to God for His leadership we must then begin to
make life decisions according to his will.
If you and I are to make sound Christian decisions by faith we must first live in
accordance with the Word of God. Making it the authority in our lives. Also, we
must then trust God to providentially order the events of our lives according to His
sovereign will.
A life of faith in God and obedience to His word is the very best life possible.
